Our Story

Truth x Vision was started by a few socially motivated individuals in 2006. Their movement gained enough momentum to become a legal business in 2008, and in 2009 Truth x Vision received tax-exempt status, officially becoming 501(c)3 non-profit business. Today our team consists directly of five driven world-changers, with many other indirect supporters and partners. We are located in Oregon but have team members in Seattle and Las Vegas as well. We are growing almost too fast, but we are enjoying every minute of it. With God’s guidance, we will continue to work towards our goals of fighting poverty and social injustice with strong messages in our media.

Our Foundation

We hesitate to associate with any formalized religion due to the negative reputation it has gained. With that said, we thoroughly pursue the call to care for the poor and helpless taught by Christ throughout the New Testament, as well as many other great spiritual leaders. We accept all races, cultures and ideologies, and will work with anyone who shares our passion.Isaiah 58:6-10 essentially defines the work we do:

6 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
   and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
   and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
   and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
   and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
   and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
   and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
   you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

   “If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
   with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
   and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

Meet The Team

Kris Asleson is our founder and CEO. He graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in International Business with minors in Philosophy and Peace Studies. He is currently living in Las Vegas, NV.

Nick Davies is our VP of Finance and Operations. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Finance. He is currently living in Renton, WA.

Nathan Menges is our Marketing Director. Nathan has created and successfully developed several ventures, both online and off. He is currently living in McMinnville, OR.

Allison Shigley is our Director of International Operations. She graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in International Business. She is currently living in Las Vegas, NV

Charles Kyd is our Music Supervisor. He has studied music his entire life, and has recorded and produced several albums, He is currently living outside of Seattle, WA.

Joel Moreno is our Director of Public Relations. He is currently studying Business at Oregon State University. He is living in Corvallis, OR.

Josiah Close is our Director of Strategic Planning. He is finishing up a Finance degree at Oregon State University. He currently living in Albany, OR.
